It has been a while since I have posted, had a little down time tonight with our football practice finishing early. I went to Canada in late July before two-a-days started and the fishing was pretty tough. Most of my fish caught, were on Coot's Lures. Last year we portaged into a small lake, and the only fish supposed to be in there were northerns. Well, I caught a 27 inch walleye on a Mepps spoon. We were going to fish the lake again this year, and I purchased 2 of Coot's kits and they worked great. Myself and a buddy landed 15 northern and 10 walleye using the spoon and spinner combo. Had we been using crawler harnesses I had tied, the northerns would clipped me off. I used them in the main lake as well, and landed 15 or so walleye and around 10 northern. I want to thank Coot for his customer service, we spoke on the phone for about 45 minutes, and the kits were at my door when he said they would be. Coot you have a great product, and thanks again!! Here is the big fish of the Sheboygan Walleye Club Tourney, held in Marinette, WI on 8-26-07. Wally and I took 5th place with 1 fish. We were pulling Husky Jerks with my hook harness on the back end of the crank. I take off the back treble hook and then I clip my hook harness on the split ring and then you add a full crawler. Great action. I do this alot with all my cranks.
I also got to pre fish with Keith Kavajecz and Gary Parson up at BDN. We were doing the same thing up there also. That one day with Gary, we caught 6 eyes and had over 60 lbs of fish. The smallest was 28" and the biggest was 32". He told me that, " This has been the best day ever fishing for walleyes", I was glad that I could be there and to do that with him. Wally and I took 3rd place over all this year for the Cabela's points standings in the club. So we are hoping to go to the Championship next year. We have 1 more club tourney this year and it is in Green Bay, (Fox River) in Oct 21. That is a fun time of year up there, so if you can get up there. DO IT, you will have fun. Thanks to all the people who bought my lures this year and I had a great time fishing this year also. COOT

Wally and I took 2nd place in the Sheboygan Walleye Club toureny on Sunday, we won this tourney in 2005. This year I had no trolling bite, so I told Wally we were going to fish Stevens Reef all day, and it paid off for us. I was trying to stay in 6' to 8'FOW for our fish. The wind was blowing good in the morning, but by mid morning it died, then at 1:00pm the wind picked up and we finally caught more fish. We caught about 20 eyes and we caught them by jigging and slip bobbering, with leaches and crawlers. The biggest fish for us was 21.5" and we had a total weight of 9.78 lbs, the first place guys had 3 fish for 10.8 lbs, their big fish was 5.33 lbs. Our next tourney spot is in Marinette, WI on Aug 26, I am hoping we can catch fish there, because I have never been there before, so if you have any tips for me and Wally, they would be greatly appreciated. Hope to post more reports on my fishing escrusions. Thanks for reading my posts.

Well I am back to work after having the month of June off.
June 2nd got to fish with my son Aaron and it was for the Van Dyne Lions Club walleye tourney, we placed 42nd out of 110 boats. We could'nt catch 6 fish, we only had 5 that day for 12.5 lbs. The next tourney was Walleye Weekend in Fond du Lac, The Mercury National Walleye, I fished with Dan O'Neil and same problem, only 6 fish, 14.5 lbs, so we ended up in 142 out of 300 boats. Fathers day weekend was the Otter Street Fishing Club Tourney and I fished with Randy Wegner, this was a fun weekend for us, Sat. we came in with 17.5 lbs, 5 fish and that put us in 9th place fot the first day, out of 316 boats. Sunday was fun also but no big fish for us, 16 lbs, 5 fish, so we ended up in 10th place for $1100, IT FELT GOOD TO CASH CHECK AND NOT A DONATION. Randy found the fish on Fri and he had approx 18 lbs, so I said thats where we will go on Sat. We were pulling my harnesses from 30' to 75' behind the boards with NO WEIGHTS and we were in only 13' of water. Gold was the dominate catching color for us.
Well my next tourney is July 15 for the Sheboygan Walleye Club, on Winnebago. This tourney is also for the Cabelas points standings for us and currently Wally and I are in 5th place out of 30 boats.
If you have any ?????????? about my lure system, please feel free to contact me by email or my cell phone (920-379-9255)

5-6-07 Wally and I fished the SWC Tourney in Green Bay, we tied for 15th place with 5 fish and weight of 14.35 lbs. We caught 22 walleyes, but could not manage a bigger fish than 21". We had a great time fishing and at one time , it felt like a chinese fire drill in the boat. Wally is a great guy to fish with, we always have fun when we get together. My next tourney is June 2, this is for the Van Dyne Lions Club. I fish with my son, Aaron, and the why we fish this tourney together, he is type 1 diabetes. This club sends money to the Juvenile Diabetes Reasearch Foundation ( JDRF ) and when we found out that Aaron had the diasese, they help us go to a camp for this diasese and learn more about diabetes. I am hoping to get out next week, because we have just finished with the Winnebago Sauger Hatchery project this year. We put 1.4 million fry back into the system and we have about 600,000 sauger fry at the Kettle Maraine Hatchery, that we will try to grow 6" to 8" fingerlings and then release them back to Lake Winnebago.
Good luck fishing and fun doing it. COOT

SWC Tourny 4-15-07

Wally and I fished the Sheboygan Walleye Club (SWC) tourny on Sun at Fort Fremount on the wolf river. and finished 6th, out of 27 boats. We only caught 3 fish, 14.25", 15.5" & a 20.25" for 4.85 lbs. Winning weight was 11.5 lbs 5 fish. We were drifting with 1/4 to 1/2 oz jigs and minnows, we tried crawlers but no luck. The SWC holds 4 Cabela's qaulifing tournies a year and the top 3 places get to go to the Championship, this year it is in Green Bay, WI. Last year wWally and I finished 4th out of 30 boats. Sundays tourny earned us 88 points out of 100. The next SWC tourny is May 6, and that will be held out of Green Bay, Metro boat landing. This will be a good place for my lures and last year we caught some nice fish. I will be posting events of my fishing and tips on what I am doing. Thanks to all that have bought my lures and if I can help you, please feel free to contact me. COOT
